Yes, I'm aware. I was simply observing the moment Nintendo began to carve out a new path and distinguish itself from their competitors by prioritizing unique, weird(er) gaming experiences over raw hardware power.

While Sony and MS focused on pushing the boundaries of graphical fidelity and processing capabilities, Nintendo embraced a different approach that emphasized creativity and unconventional game design and style. And it really shows in Mario Sunshine, especially when compared to Mario 64.

This shift eventually allowed Nintendo to (re)establish itself as a pioneer and powerhouse in the industry-- even though it took a few generations--proving that gaming experiences could transcend hardware specs.
