I don’t think it really has a bad rep, most people like it. But it’s about to go downhill for you fast. The last two Brosnan Bonds have the Doc Brown Meme syndrome where they are so bad that they created an alternate timeline where all of the Brosnan movies were bad.

I think The World is Not Enough is actually really good too.
Die Another Day is a disaster though. Still, 3/4 good movies for the Brosnan era (with one all timer) is solid.
