Can agree to disagree but a grab squeeze and throw to warrant a penalty would be a lot more blatantly obvious than that IMO.
He can't lift his arm up with the puck in his hand the way he did by the rule as it's written.

He should have dropped the puck.

67.2 Minor Penalty – Player - A player shall be permitted to catch the puck out of the air but must immediately place it or knock it down to the ice. If he catches it and skates with it, either to avoid a check or to gain a territorial advantage over his opponent, a minor penalty shall be assessed for “closing his hand on the puck”.

He didn't immediately place or drop the puck. He did cradle/skate with it (even if it was just a split second) and threw it in a way that led to a territorial advantage.

It should have been a penalty.

I agree that probably wouldn't get called in the neutral zone, but in the offensive zone it should be called since it's a clear territorial advantage that benefited Nashville.

What they need to do is add a rule to the hand pass rule that states if you intentionally play the puck with you hand and direct it to the opponent's net then the play will automatically be blown down regardless of who touches the puck first. Because with the way it is today Weegar has to make a panic play because Forsberg is allowed to play that puck even though it was intentionally directed at the net with his hand.
