As a kid, a friend and I used to make Melba toast "sandwiches" consisting of 2 pieces of Melba toast slathered in mayo, then sprinkled with white sugar & slapped together. The very idea of this now, as an adult, makes me want to hurl.
Another favorite sandwich was raw, chopped up cabbage between 2 pieces of white bread with mayo. Again, as an adult, this makes me nauseated to contemplate.
I still like mayo, but not with any of that stuff.
My dad used to make omlettes with Cheeto puffs. I never even tried a bite, but he liked them.
