A lot of rumors that Miller and Boeser would be traded but both were given extensions so now who do the Canucks move if they want to shake things up? Horvat is a pending UFA but also their captain. Garland’s name has been out there but he is not bringing back a high end Dman on his own in a trade.
I think the Canucks are like the Jets and stuck on the bubble with some nice forwards, a great goalie and thin D corps. As of today it feels like it is Vancouver, Vegas and LA battling for that third spot in the division.

Interesting comparison to the Jets. I've always felt the Jet's defense corp was above average; but the team as a whole couldn't play up to its ability.
Vancouver's defense is definitely a tire fire. Anyone remember the 3-0 breakaway in OT from a few years back? Only one of the Vancouver skaters even tried to get back into the play. Vancouver's D may have improved since those days, but not by much, as evidenced by the need for Demko's heroics to keep them competitive in games.
