Sorry, I could have been way more clear with that post. I completely understand the commonplace homophobia in society in the 90's and early 2000's as I'm 37. I didn't mean to imply that Calgary stood out or that it didn't happen everywhere, only that Calgary is the basis of this show and that it will focus on how difficult life was for them growing up gay here.
