I had an old Acer that came with a Celeron that I put Windows 10 on.
It was by no means fast but it ran surprisingly well. Baring that, you could do a fresh install
of 7 and then run decrapifyer on it. Window 10 is a big program but they do have the code
more efficiently implemented and that really helps older hardware.
