When it comes to sporting venues in comparison to any other major Canadian city, Calgary is dead last.
I don't mind passing on World Cup bid, since I don't think they would have a shot at hosting anyway. Edmonton would get the Albertan matches since they've already got a large capacity venue that's suitable. But a new football/major event stadium is needed.
