Never say never, Toews fan. The Olympics used to be the "gimmicky" tournament when compared to the Canada Cup. If the NHL builds it into a proper best on best, while the Olympics are reduced back to amateurs and minor leaguers and the KHL, you will see North American fans, at least, switching gears.

Because there is a CBA negotiation to get through between now and then. This tournament is tied closely to those negotiations.
