The soon to be launched GTX 1050 series might be a good option for you, similar power usage with performance 50-80% higher.
Does your XPS have the 475W power supply; I'd think that would be perfectly adequate for a video card in the range of the Nvidia GTX 1060/AMD Radeon RX 470 even.
