You meet up with a droid after waking up in a lab run by the Shroud, a super criminal from earlier in the game. The new companion droid to HK doesn't remember anything and keeps rebooting, she's also hilarious, especially because she has a device that lets her imitate humans.
When she walks into a room with an imprisoned Ecarch and turns into her and mocks her I nearly busted a gut.
The Exarch becomes a brief companion, and on an elevator ride she starts talking about seeing a vision of her fate where she rides in a elevator with metallic warrior (you) and then faces her greatest challenge. At that point the door opens and she's sucked into space.
One of the side missions is to find the Shrouds logs and he starts detailing what's happened through the story line so far. It gets to the point where he's extremely happy that the outlander has been killed (frozen in carbonite). Then the next log has him realizing that the "stupid Outlander" is alive and screwing with his plans.
One of the last logs to me was priceless as he talks bout his new plan called Operation I hate the Outlander and will kill him. Then he sullenly says "Going to bed early tonight"
Anyways the game is based around fighting your way out of the shroud base so you can prevent him from killing the outlander. The level design to me was fantastic and it included a long underwater segment and space segment. The underwater segment is fantastic and the sound is muted, but you keep hearing both droids muttering about rusting.
Anyways we finally reach the shroud as he's planting bombs in the command center in Odessia and
Overall a pretty outstanding bonus chapter and the dialogue choices were pretty fabulous as you go full I hate all meatbags role. He even expresses frustration when he can't kill a unarmed civillian due to rules put into place earlier by the Outlander in a previous companion chapter.
Now we're stuck waiting for the new story which comes out at the end of the year
