That would mean Hathaway and F. Hamilton (assuming he signs a 1 year deal with the Flames) could be UFA at the end of this season unless they play 66 NHL games and 47 NHL games respectively.
Maybe not a big deal if you don't think much of them, but could become an interesting scenario for Hathaway if he has a solid season but doesn't reach the 66 games. Gives him some leverage if the Flames decide they do want to re-sign him.

Not Hathaway. "Pro experience" is defined as years under an SPC, so his first year pro under an AHL contract doesn't count. He'll have completed two pro seasons.
