I understand that but after he wasn't qualified, they were supposedly negotiating and as it turns out Colborne was willing at $2.5M but maybe his ego wouldn't let him drop to that price for the Flames which Treliving hinted at.
Anyways players and agents got a shot across the bow if they decide to play hardball with Treliving so the sacrifice comes across something like the Squid non trade.
