to load into Google Earth. There are a whole bunch of layers, but to start with you can turn everything off and select
VIIRS I Band Fire Detections
then just turn on the most recent. It auto refreshes when there is new data(hourly, I think). I'd be interested to ground truth some of this to see how accurate it is. Anyway, it's an interesting way to visualize where the active fires are, and you can play around with the other layers.
