I would challenge that statement. My negative taxi experiences have often had the consequences of somebody deciding to drive home drunk. Not saying that taxi issues are any kind of an excuse for drunk driving, just helping to lay out why I think it is that serious.
It has come to the point that my going out for drinks ends up with some other plan being made other than relying on a taxi.
