We stopped at Montego Bay for a cruise one day. Went rafting down some river, was half decent.
The only thing we really, really, really hated was all the women in the streets basically stalking the ladies in our group trying to braid their hair. It's one thing to just ask, be told no and then move on... they don't move on and just hound you. We eventually said screw it and went back to the boat...
So I didn't get much time to explore the area or meet the people, so that's my limited view on the area...
