So here's what I'm thinking:
There's a few things I just have trouble getting over with Aeneas.
The first is his not knowing who he investigated. I know he came back saying he wasn't as clever as the rest of us and needed to look at the PM's from Mazrim to see what they said, but that's just an odd comment to me. If you are the investigator (or something in that role) why would you say that? Either you'd look at the PM's first and answer or you'd have the answers. And I don't buy that clever remark, he's played this before. He knows how the roles work. It doesn't make sense. This really is something I would think you should know or at least give the town some confidence that you know what you are doing and helping. The way he did that, I have little confidence in him. And if you don't know your investigation information, how are you basing your votes? There's so many questions that come up with just that one little statement.
The second is having this role, but being quiet. If you have a role where you can get information, I don't see where "under the radar" helps the town. First, playing that way is going to make yourself a lynch target. That's been outwardly said a few times in this game and the basis of a few votes, so that's just poor play. Second, if you happen to be taken out by mafia during the night, you die with any information you had. Even if you haven't located scum, you still have information and had you died prior to sharing it, it's less information for us to go with. You don't need to scream it aloud, but at least try to work it into posts to help us out and make it look like you do something. You've really offered us nothing up until yesterday. That's an issue to me, that's not helping the town when you have a very helpful role.
Then there's the GirlySports thing. IF she is truthful about her role, she made a huge mistake how to go about with it. Losing a day at this point is far more detrimental to the town today than it would be at the start. To me, that role should have almost been something you say on Day 1 or 2 to warn the town that you are a ticking time bomb. That's how it would have been helpful for the town, not to have us drag it out of you on Day 7 when we need the time and losing a day is a huge issue. The irony in her comments about the mafia sneaking up on us is almost too much. Her role lets the mafia do EXACTLY that. If you don't reveal that from the start, you get killed, guess what? You just let the mafia sneak up on us. If you tell us right away, up front, the element of surprise gets taken away. In my opinion, she should have had a completely opposite stance on reveals. Not hide her role, tell us, warn us because if it's true, we are screwed at this point. It's almost a choice between lynch her ourselves so we know when this is coming, or let the mafia do it in a day or two and hope it's not when the numbers make it impossible for the town to win.
I also have to wonder though if this is much like the invite thing where a huge claim is made to get the heat off.
