Out of all the D players on Team Canada, I thought that this 20 year old kid played the best. This is not to take anything away from Nieds or the other players.

What are your thoughts/opinions?

I'm not sure if this was posted earlier or not, I did search for previous posts but found nothing.

Drew played well, but Duncan Keith was the best D out there.

He was outstanding, along with Keith and Weber!

I believe that he worked hard to prove that he belongs in Team Canada. He definitely deserve it.

Scott Niedermayer was the best player on the ice in yesterday's game.

Completely agree with you here. As should anybody else that actually understands hockey.

I would like to take this moment to say that "I was wrong about Drew Doughty". I will man up and admit it. I did not agree with him being on the team, I had strong words for Mr Yzerman regarding this choice.

But Drew Doughty has been nothing but MONEY. Absolute f***ing GOLD.

6. Boyle

7. Seabrook

Hahaha. TSN crew called and thanks you for just repeating what Hockey Canada told them to say.

He wasnt even close, responsible for the second goal against and got beat on the outside twice.

Getzlaff was IMO the best player on the ice for us.

I am also very willing to admit that I was wrong about Doughty he was great. There was no doubt that he is a great defenceman, the doubts were on his ability to handle the pressure and level of play.

I would also like to point out that I along with others were right about Seabrook.

While I agree that he wasn't the best player on the ice, he wasn't nearly as bad as you thought. I remember him getting beat outside once, but I think he got caught on a long shift. Also his giveaway just prior to Crosby's goal was cringe worthy......however

I will never doubt that guys ability to raise his game ever again. Most of this season plus early in the tournament he looked old and a step behind, but in the past few games he elevated his play to the point he and Weber were the #1 pairing, he was unbeatable one on one, moved the puck well and didn't get beat along the boards.

All I can say is its a damn good thing that Phaneuf didn't make the team. If he had, he would have been undressed so many times that his pants would have been frozen to the ice.

Our D, in most cases, was phenominal. I hope Phaneuf watched the games and perhaps learned something. I always liked Dion.... but in the last couple of years I think he's gotten lazy and figures he's better than he is. I hope he changes.

Doughty is twice the D-man that Phaneuf is with half the time in the NHL
