Don't know if anyone else has noticed, but the Calgary Tower will be a flame from 5-6pm every night after a Canadian Athlete wins a medal. I noticed it Sunday evening, and since I've never seen it lite up before, I thought it was pretty nifty.

Calgarians will also notice the flame on top of the Calgary Tower.
It's being lit in honour of the opening ceremonies on Friday night. It will also be lit between, 5 p.m. and 6 p.m., every time a Canadian wins a medal during the Olympics.

You've never seen it lit before? Where were you in 2004?

Not everyone who is a Flames fan is from Calgary. MMF is from Ft. Mac.

I saw it lit on Sunday evening, then I was out driving later that night and it wasn't lit and I thought I was going crazy, so I guess that explains it.

I thought it was only lit for a gold medal performance by a Canadian?

Picture I took of it on the 15th when it was lit up for Bilodeau's win:
