Guitar Hero for Wii - 2 different guitars?

I have been reading about GH3 for my Wii and there have been some posts complaining about a older guitar type that isnt as good. Something about it being black ( or white) and maybe having a cord.

Am I confusing this with GH for another system? Or should I be wary of buying one or the other if I get it used. I am assuming the newer ones have the better guitar, is this correct?

As of right now, you can only get one guitar for your Wii. It's the white wireless one that comes bundled with the GH3 game. You can't even get a second guitar without buying the game... yet. Activision has promised a standalone guitar for the Wii (http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2007/11/26/wireless-ghiii-guitars-to-be-sold-separately-at-some-point-in-th/) for the first part of 2008. Third-party developers, such as Nyko (http://www.nintendowiifanboy.com/2008/01/08/nyko-introduces-first-third-party-wii-guitar/), are also planning to release guitars in March-April 2008.

i think your getting it confused with the 360 version. GH2 on 360 was wired, GH3 on 360 can come with either a wireless or wired (walmart) guitar
