Anyone know where I can get a replacement Dell AC Adapter in Calgary?

I tried latop Depot... they sent me to Battery World. Battery world wants $100+ for one. On Dell's website they want about the same.

It is for a Dell Inspiron Laptop. PA-12 Family Adapters are compatible.

I found a few on ebay for $20 - $40 but am leery that they may be faulty.

I have investigated the same thing and have the same suspicions about non-dell power supply through exploring customer reviews etc. Might just have to bite the bullet and buy a branded one.

edit: If Targus has one, then it would be one I would trust. I didn't think to explore that possibility earlier.

There are some Dr Battery Models for a far better cost, however i have no idea what the amp difference means for each, the prices range from $60-$90. If someone has any knowledge about what the difference is, or which would be appropriate would be helpful.

Spend the money on an authentic Dell AC converter. 100$ is actually not too bad considering I've had to pay in excess of 150$ for a Toshiba compatible one (they use LiteOn converters).

Bottom line is that you don't want a cheap power source to suddenly fail and fry your whole computer.

my dog ate mine when she was just a puppy too. After looking around i must agree here. Bite the bullet and get one from Dell, worth the piece of mind.

$20US including shipping. The picture shows it as a Dell part and the seller seems to have solid feedback. I will cross my fingers.

I am surprised the little $hit (puppy) didn't zap herself or blow some breakers. It was plugged in when she decided to gnaw away at it.
