"Kevin's stats were as good as anybody's in the CFL last year and he won three of his final four games in the Arena 2 League with the San Diego Rip Tide," Michael Feterik told me Wednesday. "But he's not coming back to Calgary. The media in Calgary would beat him to death. They don't like me and they take it out on him."

Plus, Feterik Sr denied reports he is actively shopping the Stamps:
"I'm very happy with my investment in Calgary," Feterik said. "The league's in better shape now than ever. It's more stable than ever. And we're going to be fine in Caglary(sic). The fans are still behind us (despite the Stamps' 1-5 record). We're competitive. Matt Dunigan (Calgary's rookie head coach and general manager) is doing a good job even though a lot of people think he's doing a poor job. I speak with him four or five times a week and I'm confident he knows what he's doing. He's putting in a brand new offence now, and I think we're going to be all right. I really do."

I'm of the contention that had Kevin Feterik's name and ancestery had been different that he would have been a very popular young QB, and we would have given him far more chances then he was given.

He was willing to take any kind of punishment to win a game.

Who knows, given a few more reps of the football, he might become a decent QB somewhere else.
