Short term accommodation

I will be attending sait for a 2 month course between September and November.

Therefor I need a place to stay. The sait accommodation was very expensive and I'm quite simply not willing to pay over 3k for a shared room

Couple of questions:
What is the average price for a short term apartment/bachelor or basement?

Do you have to pay for street parking in residential areas in Calgary, one of my friends told me that he got a fine

Anyone have any contacts or homes they could help me out with?

I've looked on kijiji and there's a couple of places, is craigslist all scams?

I would post in the Buy/Sell forum. I'm sure there are people on CP that wouldn't mind a roommate for a couple months to make a little extra money.

^ I agree, it will be real tough to find an actual rental due to the short term and the fact the lease expires at the worst possible time for a landlord.

If you're willing to walk, just park at Northhill Mall. It's all pay parking and residential permits in that area. Otherwise the C-Train park & rides might be an option if you're not living nearby to SAIT.
