Michael J. Fox to return to TV as a series regular

He's set to appear in a 22 episode comedy for NBC. It will be based on his life with the plot being a husband and father of three dealing with Parkinson's.

Good news that he is clearly on a good mix of medications that allows him to come back to work.

Thats pretty awesome. MJF is hilarious and I hope this focuses more on humourous ways of dealing with his illness and not as much on the sad side of things. His episode of Curb Your Enthusiasm when he's trolling Larry David with his Parkinsons is one of the funniest things I think I've ever seen.

This may come off as insensitive, so I'll say off the top that I deal with disability issues every day, but I hope that, whatever he does, his character isn't some version of "Parkinsons Guy".

Obviously it will be addressed and included, but I hope it's a well rounded character, not a cause.

As funny as the Curb clip was, a show that's just a running string of Parkinsons jokes will get old fast.
