I suggest one for Adolph B. Spreckels III (aka. Bunker Spreckels) He was a talented surfer in the 70's who was heir to the Spreckels Sugar fortune. Also was stepson of one Clarke Gable. He acquired a 50 million inheritance at a yound age and spiralled into a life of jet setting, debauchery and died at 27 years old of a heart attack.

I am only half way through this story and its the most ridiculous thing I have ever read. There is no way all of that is true or even 30% of it.

If you think that's crazy, wait until you read about this guy:

pfffft, make an effort....

He fought in the Boer War (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boer_War), World War I (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_I), and World War II (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II); was shot in the face, head, stomach, ankle, leg, hip and ear; survived a plane crash, tunneled out of a POW camp, and bit off his own fingers when a doctor wouldn't amputate them. He later said "frankly I had enjoyed the war."

Jack Churchill. But only if it's an epic three-hour extravaganza.

Best line of the movie: "If it wasn't for those damn Yanks, we could have kept the war going another 10 years."

I said the same thing so I did some googling, and for the most part it true. I think some of the numbers are off but capturing the whole town on his own as well as the Korea thing is true.

How have I never heard of this guy?

Hes like a less subtle Batman or something, or Rambo

Kubrick was preparing to make an epic Napoleon film, but made Barry Lyndon instead. I think an American TVnetwork produced a mini-series and he got fed up and scrapped the project.
I also remember Vin Diesel was going to star and produce a Hannibal movie, but his career went in the tank and a couple other historical epics bombed at the box office.

Staff-Sgt. Jim Smyth
http://www.parisstaronline.com/2012/05/14/staff-sgt-jim-smyth-master-interrogator-humble-cop
The running joke in justice circles is if you are in a police interview room and Staff-Sgt. Jim Smyth walks in, don't make any appointments for the next 25 years.

And certainly don't even bother trying to talk your way out of there.

Ask Michael Briere, Barry Manion or Russell Williams.

They, in essence, went from that interrogation room to serving life sentences. Briere for the gruesome sexual assault and Junction-area murder of 10-year-old Holly Jones.

Manion for the almost 40-year-old cold case of the sex-slaying of 12-year-old Katherine May Wilson in Kirkland Lake, Ont.

And the killer-colonel Williams for the vicious stalking, rapes and murders of Jessica Lloyd and Marie-France Comeau, as well as several other sexual assaults.

Their confessions came as a result of the skilled of questioning by the master, Smyth. Ask killer Terri-Lynne McClintic, who cried through two boxes of Kleenex as she spilled the beans about the disturbing tale of how eight-year-old Tori Stafford was abducted, sexually assaulted and brutally murdered.

Timothy Leary...

http://www.aceshowbiz.com/news/view/00004309.html

There were rumors that Leonardo Dicaprio was working on a biopic of Leary, but there doesn't appear to be any news about it past 2006.

I think it could make for a pretty fascinating movie if done the right way, as Leary and the world he lived in touched everything from LSD to Harvard to the FBI to the Beatles to Jack Kerouac to the Hell's Angels, to the Merry Pranksters to the counterculture revolution.

Apparently Dicaprio's father, George, was a good friend of Leary's.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Timothy_Leary

During the 1960s and 1970s, Leary was arrested regularly and was held captive in 29 different prisons throughout the world. President Richard Nixon (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Nixon) once described Leary as "the most dangerous man in America".

^^ A Harvard professor!
