Joining Club
The structure of the club changed this year. Now you have to tryout in order to join the club. We're always looking to add new players, and will highlight the positions we have the most desires to fill above in red.

A player can tryout for 3 games in a 7 day span. For example you can have 3 games on one day, then tryout again 7 days later if necessary; or you can have 1 game each on day 1, day 2, and day 7, and then renew your 3 game tryout sessions on day 8.

The type of players the GMs are looking for are those who play the game with good positioning, hockey sense, and team play. Our competitive level is within the elite rankings, so we want to have players that can handle playing against the best clubs that the league has to offer.

PS3 Chat
We use the PS3 chatroom function to organize games. There are two present chatrooms for the club. One is a private chat for players that are on the team. The other, "CPF" is used when players that are trying out are participating. If you want to get in a game or check the status of a current game enter the chat. If you don't have an invite yet request one from another member currently online. Once you get in, it's saved and all you need to do is enter it when you go online to see if there are games going on.

I wouldn't mind trying out. I've been playing on 360 primarily but just picked up the PS3 version of the game (and have been playing D in pick-up games). To speed things up I whored out and bought the boosts, but I'm still only rolling around a 74 or so as I've still got plenty o levelling up to do.

I agree with this. Playing fairly solid. Just be a bit more conservative in your pinching. You're a defenseman still after all. We want to score goals but we want to keep goals against down as well, so make sure you're doing your own role as first priority.

Just going to say one thing about this. At the beginning of the night Chuck mentioned that he has a tendency to be over aggressive playing defense and if it starts getting bad to tell him to tone it down and play a little more back. No one said anything so how do you expect him to stop.

Communication, it's an awesome thing. And it's essential in a team. Can't expect people to read each others mind. Jobo has mentioned to me numerous times about my cross crease forces and I'm doing my best to fix that... down to maybe 10 times a game from my usual 30 to 40, and no Jobo, I don't have a phobia of passing to the high slot :)

But Chuck is new to the team, he's learning our tendencies as we're learning his and we need to communicate with each other. No different then when any new player joins.

Last night was tough too because we managed to run into numerous top 10 overall teams so they pretty much magnified all of our mistakes 100x lol

Good post Div. Never be shy to give your honest thoughts to your teammates. I'm sure none of us will get offended since it's not intended to be. It's what will make us improve our overall play and improve our chemistry as a team.
