Working on a return date now - and if everything falls into place we will be introducing an exciting new element to the show this season.
Stay tuned.

Those are some good suggestions. A few other features / segments they can try out during the broadcasts this season:
Segment 1: Guess which one of us is hammered.
Segment 2: Guess which one of us is not wearing pants.
Segment 3: With deference to David Letterman, Stupid Puck Tricks (I think this one works real well on the radio)
Segment 4: An in-depth discussion of Rene Bourque's lazy penalty of the week.
(Alternate Segment 4: An in-depth discussion of Rene Bourque's injury of the week.)
Segment 5: A new one called "Name that awful season" where the hosts nominate a player who had an awful year, and posters fight in the on-air thread about the year in question.
Segment 6: "Shoot the Savior" where the hosts mercilessly debunk theories about why Farmhand X will NOT save the season.
Segment 7: Craig Conroy's 1000th game Career Countdown

I guess things didn't fall into place for last week's show. Is there anything you can share with us about what's planned?

Just that it would allow for more listener interaction.
The group we are working with to implement it ran into a challenge. We still hope to introduce it soon.

I've got two 7-hour+ drives ahead of me over the next week, so a new CP Radio Podcast would be pretty sweet

We'll be doing our next show next week.
Fun fact: The Flames haven't won since our last show :(

I remember listening to the show a couple of days ago while on the road, and thinking "wow, I wonder what these guys would think if they knew we would soon be 6-7."

I finally had a chance to listen to the last show earlier today. Good show as usual.
It's funny the Flames were 6-3, just coming off that wild win against Edmonton, and things were looking good. Both of you guys called the Avs game a key one to give the Flames a winning home stand.
As it turns out that gong show against the Avs has been the season turning point to date. Karlsson gets the start and craps the bed, the team plays lazy and disinterested pond hockey, and now we're 7-9 with no choice but to ride Kipper until we get things turned around again.
Maybe the next show will cue a winning streak for the topsy turvy Flames.

I'll go on the record as saying more listener interaction is not required. You and Darcy do a great job and can easily carry the show yourselves. I like how you sprinkle in opinions and questions from the board. But I would not want to see CP Radio become an Overtime-style b*tch session for angry CP'ers!
Keep up the good work!

Bingo and I are having a tough time finding a time that works for both of us. We are probably going to wait until the new year. Sorry.

That's cool, no need to apologize, it's pretty cool you guys do the radio and its not like you get paid for it. Looking forward to when time allows and thanks!

Oh no, nothing going on with the Flames that would require our resident podcasting experts to throw down a cast or anything! Sheesh, what's the org gotta do to get you guys in the booth!
Just kidding, I know it's a very busy time of year. Not that I wouldn't love the twin poohbah's take on all things Flames.

Yeah I think so. Though we have a fresh issue this year to tackle. The service I used to broadcast CP Radio (Ustream) is now dropping ads into their live broadcasts - and you can't anticipate when it will happen. So basically during any live show the broadcast is suddenly interrupted by an advertisement. It sucks
I'm looking into options right now.

What sucks about it is that as hosts we don't hear the ads - so basically we would be continuing the discussions and instead of hearing us you are interrupted out of the blue by ads. It's a terrible system which is why I'm looking at what other choices we have.

Time to get a producer (who can be listening to the broadcast and give you the cut sign) and concentrate on the content! :D
No doubt you could find several volunteers for it.

You should look into blog talk radio.

Have you tired justin.tv?
Seems pretty popular to host on, not sure about ad's popping up or not.

Jiri and Bingo do podcasts like Iginla plays defence. They only do it when they wanna, but we all appreciate it when it happens.

Although the thought of a live broadcast is kind of fun (live commenting on the forum, etc.), I'd be perfectly happy with a podcast-only format to listen to on demand. In fact, most of the time I was unable to listen live anyway and ended up listening in the car or wherever I was able.
There are obviously added considerations and challenges to broadcasting live, and perhaps it would be easier, more enjoyable, etc. for the hosts to publish it exclusively as a podcast instead, without the extra pressure of coordinating and streaming a live broadcast. I'd rather have CP Radio on demand than not at all, but only you guys know your live vs. podcast numbers for listeners. And I'm sure that some would object as they prefer being a part of it live.
Either way, I am very appreciative of the time and effort required and I am looking forward to hearing it again.

Hey guys,
Sorry for not doing a show lately. Frankly excuses are for chumps - but there's a lot going on my life right now - not the least of which is that soon my wife and I will be welcoming our first child.
I'm trying to figure out how I can fit CP radio into things, and how often it is realistic to do a show, as I really enjoy doing it...but I'll admit that it is simply hard to find time for it right now....and I realize that once the kid arrives it will become even harder.
But I still intend to bring it back in some format and in some way - but just not sure what that looks like yet.
The positive is that I've had some experience with the blogtalkradio platform now and it meets our needs really well - so that particular obstacle has been solved.

^ Congratulations on your upcoming arrival. My first baby arrived 2.5 months ago, and you are quite right, time will be even harder to come by. Not to mention sleep!
Take your time, enjoy the changes that the baby will bring, and don't try and take on too much in the next little bit. Life honestly becomes a blur for the first couple of months.
