Maybe Im just stupid, but I cut and paste a quote from a different website, hilite it, click on the bold and Italics buttons and I get this:

Sportsbook.com put the brakes on due to unusual betting patterns on a specific team coming from accounts in California and Massachusetts over
12 hours.[B][I]

What am I missing?

If you want to do it without the buttons, I think it should be:

[ b ] [ i ]Sportsbook.com put the brakes on due to unusual betting patterns on a specific team coming from accounts in California and Massachusetts over
12 hours.[ / b ][ / i ]

edit: to put spaces between parts of the relevant codes, because it just made mine bolded and italicized. :P

Yeah, they don't work the way I've seen them work on other editors. At least not for me in Firefox.

Basically clicking the B button inserts an start bold tag, and you have to click it again to get the end bold tag. If you want to bold a chunk of text, you can't just highlight it and click the bold button like you would in Word or something.

You have to put the cursor at the point where you want to start the bold and click the bold button, then go to where you want to end it and click it again.

I don't do any of that, I just go in and type the tags where I want them.

I use explorer, and all you have to do is highlight what you want bolded and click bold once. It puts both the start tag and end tag on right for me.

Cool, sure enough... The javascript they use to do that in the forum software only works in IE then. That sucks.
