Joystiq is reporting that Canada will be getting a 360 Elite Halo 3 bundle on the 28th, it includes a copy of Halo 3 and the network adapter for $349.99. This is a good sign that the regular elite will drop to $299, hopefully they also clear out the pros at a good price. http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/23/ru...ing-to-canada/ (http://www.joystiq.com/2009/08/23/rumor-discount-xbox-360-elite-halo-3-bundle-coming-to-canada/)

the 60gb pro will be phased out.

All I want is a wireless NIC that doesn't cost $100.

You can always just hook up your laptop/computer to it and that way you don't need one.

Doesn't everyone that wants to play Halo 3 already have Halo 3?

I recommend a Linksys Powerline instead of anything wireless for gaming. It uses your house's powergrid to send 1's and 0's as though it's network cable. It's the best product i've ever bought.

I get great latency as well, much, much better for gaming.

Hmm if the Pro's go cheap I might pick up another one and save my first gen 360 as a backup

Yeah, I hope someone sells them for real cheap. My current one, which is out of warranty, is mucking up my discs. My new Madden disc has a 6mm "scratch/cut/smudge" in it. Doesn't affect gameplay ATM, but I hope it doesn't get worse.

100% agree.

Powerline is the way to go.

Yeah i've been getting a few disc read errors and some scratching on the game discs, plus its starting to get fairly warm after 15 minuets of gaming.

Can I just plug in my old HD into the new system or do I need to buy a transfer kit.

I have a 100 foot cord coming from my computer room to the basement for connection. It's rather comical but it is a solid connection, and $100 extra for wireless is so ridiculous.

It's crazy to think that MS still insists on having hard drives priced at triple the cost per gig, and wireless at a similar mark up
