We will be reviewing the last few games for the Flames but will also spend a ton of time talking about the trade deadline.

Not trying to argue, but how many times have you watched Jokinen? I haven't seen him much at all, which is why I have no opinion on him.

That depends on how much you like Jokinen....I really have no opinion one way or the other. I don't know much about him.

McE was the same type of goalie last year down here he needed to play to be sharp.

In relation to Darcy's (I think it was him) comments about McE and the Flames. Sounds like he's been taking notes on my posts and using it on CP Radio.

Although I have been defending McE I have to say it is a little disconcerting that the Flames don't seem to get pumped up to play in front of him.

Dion you are right, they should get tighter defensively when he's playing, but they don't. And maybe that is the problem, players are not confident in him so they are trying to do too much and end up missing assignments because they don't trust their goalie.

Kiprusoff "not the most well-conditioned" goaltender. - He is the most durable one, though, and that has to be because he takes care of his body very carefully.

Honestly, I really have no opinion on him. I liked Lombardi and what he brought to the team, so I hope that Jokinen does indeed shine in Calgary...or this deal will suck. But I really don't know what will happen.

it's true he has been. I personally disagree, mostly because an episode of CP Radio isn't complete without Grant ranting about how he hates McElhinney :p

I agree on the tie with the exception of a game a few years ago in the young bums era:

0 - 0 tie against Washington. Most boring game ever.

I do really like the total ice scrape. Definitely a good idea. Don't forget it is just a scrape, not a flood.

First show I've listened to from beginning to end. Good stuff.

Just need to start doing it after Flames games so we can have a decent call in show and won't have to listen to the crazies and drunks on the Fan960.

If I am understanding you correctly, yes some teams have a far more extensive Fire & Ice type crew with shovels that clean more during tv timeouts.

The scrape we're talking about is how the zamboni scrapes the ice before the shootout just up and down the middle about 3 or 4 lanes wide. Talk is to have them just do the whole ice but before overtime.

because a scrape is quicker because you dont hav to wait for the water to freeze on top of the ice (those 3-4 minutes before the start of period from when zambonies are done)
