Maybe you could get folks on the forum to submit short little audio blurbs to break up sections of the show, and give station identification.
Something like:
"Hi, this is Scott in Wichita, Kansas. You're listening to CalgaryPuck Radio. Go Flames go!"
Or
"Hello, this is Josef in Ubersauerkrautengarten, Germany. You're listening to CalgaryPuck Radio. Go Flames Go!"
Adds a bit of audience participation. and allows the hosts to take a short break.

Of course it's a good idea.
It's all about the little people. Voices from the far-flung Flames galaxy, rising in unison... into a crescendo of "C."
Little people. United as one.

It would take away some of the anonymity.

Folks just be on a first name basis. Not asking for street addresses here.
Imagine an extended montage from the Edmonton contingent.....

I didn't mean that in a negative way. It's really cool to hear what D'Arcy and Grant sound like ...and of course Norm.

Plenty o' folks have audio recording capabilities. Keep it simple for Station Identification purposes in the format I posted at the top.

I like it! If people have the ability to do this I can send us an mp3 - we'll use it.
Someone get that weird Russian guy to do one too.

nothing wrong with an actual commercial too ...
any ideas on show / site sponsorship would greatly be appreciated.

What about "faux" commercials for the time being, just to get you guys a break and get the timing worked out before you actually take on a contractual commitment? It would also demo your abilities to host commercials.
You know, something like the commercials Mike Richards does, but with a fake product.
(Or is that kind of cheesy?)
Edit: I mean, in addition to Reg's idea - which I think is brilliant.
Edit 2: Maybe we can track down The President for a sound bite! "Hi, this is The President, and it's not needed to tell me listen to the Calgarypuck Radio. It is something that I have already did."

Neat idea Reg!
Yeah I had suggested fake commercials at some point too, I'm sure it'd be nice for the guys to have 30 seconds to gather their thoughts, take a drink or whatever.
Even a commercial for Calgarypuck itself maybe.

Yeah we talked about that as well.
Should have seen me last night trying to drink from an ice cube filled glass without making any noise all the while watching Grant's eyes to get a feel for when he would be done talking.

I'm sure the boys from FuddyTV.com could provide some sweet voices for faux commercials. :D
