Having some minor tech problems getting the show up for download via the Radio link. So in the meantime, here is a direct link to download it:

Just finished listening to this on the way to school.
First impressions is that it is good, like way better than I expected. You guys were real good and if I didn't know any better you certianly could have passed for a 'over night quality' radio type show. In fact the one thing that kept coming to my mind was I wish there was a show that the Fan picked up like this some late nights.
There were a couple things that bothered me about it, that didn't really relate to the content or the quality of the show.
First off, it seemed real long. I commute from Mackenzie Towne to the University and it was still longer than my trip. Personally, I didn't mind much, but if I had a 20 min commute it would take me 2-3 days to listen to the whole thing. The alternative is a much shorter show though, and given the format you guys are using going shorter isn't really an option. Honestly, going longer is probably a better bet, even if you ended up splitting it into 2 segments.
Second, I noticed I had to fiddle with the volume on it on more than one occasion to keep it at a normal listening volume. Now this might be related to my ipod/earbuds, so if no one else has this problem then you can probably disregard it all together.
All said, I was very happy to listen to it over Mike Richards, so keep up the good work!

Anyone that downloads it could you please let me know what kinds of speeds you are getting and an approximate time that you were downloading?
Just wanting to gauge the load on the server and see how it responds.
Looking at the bandwidth usage I take it some people are downloading right now.

I'm downloading it right now, and I'm getting about 36KBs speed.
Actually, it just now dropped right down to 0 and then stopped...

Yeah I was trying it and getting very inconsistent download speeds as well. Not sure if that's our connection, or if it's a consequence of having the forum running that eats up so much bandwidth.

~30-90 KB/sec as of 10:30 AM MST.

Very nitpicky and I'm probably the only person that noticed, but there is some weird phasing in the voices. Not even really true phasing, but I can hear surfaces in your broadcast room making it into the mics (altering the sound of your voices). Maybe consider using some kind of baffles or hanging blankets on the walls around you to deaden reflections? Or maybe set up in the centre of a larger room?
Also, maybe consider having the mic slightly farther away or using a pop-screen in front of the microphone's diaphgram, as everything goes from sounding overly "warm" to overly "distant with lots of room sound" a number of times in the broadcast.
Lastly, make sure the angle of your mic doesn't have you projecting your voice so it is hitting the table and reflecting. Watch some of the Sportsnet broadcasts on TV and look how they do their mics. I believe they're always pointed up and away from the surface of the table at a 45-degree angle and also a decent distance from the surface.
To sum this jibber-jabber up, treat the broadcast room with some materials to deaden some of the reflections and check your mic technique.
The quality of the content however, was absolutely outstanding. WOW!

Our aim is actually to make it an hour. Anymore than that I think is pushing it. Last night we were about 20 minutes over our goal. Just a matter of watching the clock more and being a little tighter.

I think the levels on our end were fluctuating at times - something we will look to improve on our end.

Just listened to the podcast. Absolutely stellar job on the show. I would love to tune in live next week and beyond, and participate in the forum but it happens to coflict with "games night" with my 9-year-old. I'll renew a previous query: is the timeslot set in stone?
Again. Congratulations to Bingo, Jiri and others.

^We are going to try and make the timeslot as consistent as possible however due to my other job (which doesn't have consistent hours at all) it will make it a bit difficult. We'll see how things unfold.
We also obviously wouldn't want to go head to head with an actual Flames' game so that will also impact our ability to have a consistent day/time.

You can also now stream and download the show directly from this site - simply by clicking on the Radio button on www.calgarypuck.com.
This is where all future shows can be downloaded, and once we get a couple more in the can, you will also find us on Itunes.
And don't forget - tell your friends to listen!

I'm downloading now (at 4:20pm MT) and I'm getting up to 128 KB/sec. I guess I'm lucky I missed the peak demand.
EDIT: the download took 8:20 (67.2 KB/sec)

Is there anything you guys can do about the volume? I'm listening to it on my MacBook and I have the volume maxed out and I can barely hear Norm's sultry baritone....

Would be interested to know if others had volume problems. I have meters I monitor during the show and most of the time they were where they should be - but things are also very inexact when doing webcasts.
Anyhoo any more feedback on volume would be great.
The volume level on the archived player is much lower than last nights live event.

Ah. That's something we can fix. I boosted the volumes a bit and uploaded a new file.

That did the trick - volume ok now :)

Just finished listening to the first show on my iPod this morning. It was really impressive. Grant and D'Arcy have a fantastic presence on the radio and Greg... well, he held his own ;)
The content was really polished and greatly exceeded my expectations. The only beef I had, and I'm a bit late to the party here, was the volume on the download. I had the volume all the way up on the iPod and there will still times I couldn't hear what was being said. Grant's levels were pretty consistent throughout. D'Arcy was mostly audible but at times it sounded like he was away from the mic or something. Same with Greg.
Another suggestion is to add chapters and a bit of a description to the file when it goes up on the site. Perhaps that will have to wait until CP Radio hits iTunes.
Exceptional job and I look forward to the next show.

not sure why ...
but I can dowload it from home but not from the office. Might be a firewall issue or something, but I can always access other audio and video from my office.
Not a big deal to me if it's only me, but thought I should bring it up in case others have a problem.
Can't get past "connectiong to media" via the link in this string, and nothing seems to happen at all via the radio link on the main CP site.
