IT seems a large proportion of my 'backed up' DVD's start skipping toward the end of the movie. Does anybody have any idea what the problem could be, it happens on different DVD players as well, so that rules that out. I use CloneDVD that I actually purchased legally believe it or not.
Also, can anyone tell me how Death Proof ends, the last 5-10 minutes were unwatchable and I seem to have misplaced my original of course.

Might be a bad batch of DVD's. The last 15 minutes of my movies were getting cut off regularly, I tried everything. I bought a new spindle of DVD's and problem solved.

It could be the batch of the disks as @theCBE said, but another issue could be the speed you are burning. The DVD writer may be working a bit faster than the disk and this could be the result of that.
Another issue could be are you using DVD+ or DVD-? Some DVD players have trouble with DVD+, if you do use these disks then you should get a software that allows you to burn at least 30mm for a higher compatibility mode.
Finally the issue I had, did you place labels on your disks? IF SO DO NOT DO THIS! I learned the hard way, I had a few disks that skipped/froze at the end. Took the labels off and the disk and now it's perfect. If you need info on removing labels without hurting the disk let me know.

No labels, most of the discs in the spindel are pretty good, but about 15% of them skip at the end which is a poor failure rate. Maybe I will start burning at a slower speed, its just time.

Fotze one other thing to check, your Death Proof may work in your PC and only skip on the DVD player. Worst case scenario you can finish watching it, best case you can copy the burnt disk at a slower speed it may produce a disk that works. Trust me, I've done it.
What was the last thing you saw in Death Proof, I can fill you in if you'd like.

I tried that tes, it skipped on both.
I saw whent he chicks went back and started bashing Kurt Russell then they got into general traffic and starting scrapping, then it was unwatchable, I assume they kill him somehow, but maybe not.
