Thats great and all, but there'd better be a PC version of that game.

wonder if the physics processing is doable on the wii. I'll probably still get it on 360 though, since i'm an achievement whore.

I dunno.. all the vids i've seen have just been fluff. Yeah the physics are good and all but where's the meat and potatoes of the game? Or is it just a big bowl of gravy if ya know what i'm sayin ;)

Wow is right.

Now hopefully the game is good. Lucasarts has a tendency to really ride graphics and technology.

The game cant suck.

With the multi media platform for the story as 'official canon' I have high hopes for the game. That being said I have been let down before.

Goodness, for a Star Wars whore like me that looked like porn, can't wait!

Hopefully this breaks the Star Wars curse. There hasn't been many good Star Wars games made. X-Wing, Tie Fighter and KOTOR are the only three that were worth any money. (I never got into that Dark Forces game...)

I want to know why they haven't made a new x-wing vs. tie fighter game.

Plenty of good games that I've enjoyed.

Dark Forces was an excellent series of games, especially the third one when you put the blood code in and hacked arms and legs and heads off of your enemy. I always really enjoyed killing my enemies and then hacking them into little pieces after they died.

X-Wing alliance was a great game, and flying the Falcon through the second death star was awesome

I really liked Commando's I thought it was one of the deeper first person games out there.

Battlefronts ground combat game was fun, but the true prize was flying a tiefighter in the space battles, boarding a rebel scums ship and blowing up their engines from the inside, or taking over a gun turret and shooting down x-wings.

I used to like rebellion but got into the empire at war series even though the ground battles were a little weak, the space battles more then made up for it.

Agreed on all those. Battlefront 2 is awesome just working my way through it now on my new machine.
Rebellion had me obsessed.
Empire at war is fun with the different elements of the game, a sort of improved Rebellion.

I love Rebellion so much, but man the graphics make it hard to play these days. Actually, even when it came out the space battle graphics were terrible. I wish someone would come up with a graphics mod for it... I still play it once in a while. Empire at War looks intriguing, but I'm turned off by the lack of Super Star Destroyers.

As far as Force Unleashed, I agree that a PC version is needed. I wonder how watered-down the PS2 version will be.

Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2) is probably the best Star Wars game ever made to date, with Tie Fighter being the only real challenge to it's throne. it was so ahead of it's time in so many ways. it was one of the first game to have different outcomes based on how good/evil you were. it's probably still the best example of that as well, as there were no dialog options to clearly make your good/evil choice, it was all dependant on how you acted in the game (killing civilians, helping people, etc). the lightsaber and force powers were revolutionary for the time, and the story was top notch

i'm a little biased as i have fond memories of the game, being my first experience with online gaming. but i've seen it routinely listed as the best Star Wars game ever made, and one of the best overall FPS games

In the free play mode you get a SuperStar Destroyer in forces of corruption when you build darth vader.

In the story line you get the Eclipse.

Honestly I don't use the Super Star Destroyer, its way too powerful.

KOTOR/KOTOR 2 are the 2 best star wars games IMHO. Amazing games if you haven't played them before.

Sorry, did you not watch the video?

Three completely independant engines slipstreamed and compiled like that is a MONUMENTAL effort of programming and design. Combine that with Star Wars, and you get a feast. Gravy included.

Well this is labeled as a tech demo, so it makes sense they'd be showcasing the technology, not the storyline.

I'm not talking storyline in itself but actual gameplay. It was a bit obvious it was a tech demo but i've seen so many tech demo's on this game that it's quite apparent how amazing it'll be technically. I want to know more about the gameplay. Is there player levelling? Ability upgrades, Lightsaber customization, ect..

That's the meat and potatoes i'm talking about.

I think game ads should not be allowed to show cut screens at all.

Not sure how much of that this will have.. I know force powers are upgraded over time, but I get the impression this is more a FPS style game with not much in the way of RPG elements.

i hope they do it in the style of Crackdown. you start off already quite powerful, but over time each of your skills advance to the point where you're an unstoppable killing machine at the end
