iTunes US account

As a new iPod enthusiast, I am looking for a way to access the US iTunes store to download US TV shows, sporting event etc. Has anyone had success doing this?

Figure it would be hard to do. I am glad to see some TV shows creeping onto iTunes for Canadians, but I'd love to get The Daily Show and The Colbert Report, too. Get on it, CTV/Bell.

I'm not advocating doing what I am about to say, but I don't really understand here.

If you get a US credit card and address, even then you are violating the licensing agreements about the stuff not being available in Canada. Technically doing something illegal... so if you're going to do something illegal, why pay money to do it? Why not just download them elsewhere and put them on the iPod?

If I'm going to do something illegal, I might as well do it for free :D

Again not advocating doing this, just thought it was interesting.
