He was on fire before he disappeared. I searched around on the net and couldn't find anything except that Keetley and Lalande have suited up for the last 5 odd games. He must be hurt. I was really hoping he'd string together a few more games and get called up for one last hurrah.

Took a puck in the melon during a practice.

He's hurt again.

He took a puck in practice or something like that... it's hard to keep up. In fact, we should have a Brent Krahn injury forum.

Don't you have to have had a first hurrah before you can have a last hurrah?

Yeah, the important thing is to not write him completely off. Eric Nystrom is the perfect example of someone who alot of CP (including myself) wrote off and is now performing really well. I just hope Krahn stays healthy enough to put a decent streak together and really show what he can do.

Krahn is the guy I want to be standing next to when trouble hits. If any one is going to get hurt it would be him. Good thing the guy isn't in the military he probably would be a bullet magnet.

He told us at the Christmas party that the puck actually hit him in the throat. Not exactly sure what that means injury-wise, but that was on Tuesday and he thought he'd be out for another week or two.

The way Lalande is playing, he may have to fight for his job!

That's actually good news in a sense. The last thing Krahn needs is to start a history of concussion problems.

I was one of the people who did not think Krahn was a good choice in 2000 but looking back at that draft, there was a whole lot of nothing taken in the first round after the top six. Frolov (20th) has been good but he wasn't a consideration near the top 10 at the time and is still having his struggles, on pace for 10 goals this season.

Others like Hainsey and Boyes are just now starting to contribute.

The two picks before Krahn were Lars Jonsson and Nikita Alexeev. The three picks after (leading up to Hainsey) were Yakubov, Vorobiev and Smirnov. Maybe the only criticism in hindsight is that the Flames could have traded down 5-6 spots and still gotten Krahn.

Krahn still has a shot at age 25 if he keeps developing. So many goalies don't find their game until age 27 or 28. Look at an extreme case like Tim Thomas.

or Johnny Bower who didn't grab a permanent spot in the NHL until he was 34 and played another 11 seasons.

Roloson didn't become a 1a goalie until about 32 and got his first starting job at what? 36?
