“You should ask the players why they didn’t follow the game plan until the final seconds,” McGill said. “We didn’t execute the game plan. Ask the guys on the power play. Ask Kolanos. Ask Stevenson."

Oh snap!

Someday the local papers are going to run out of flame-related puns for their headlines. That will be a happy day.

Someday the local papers are going to run out of flame-related puns for their headlines. That will be a happy day.

Don't hold your breath.

Those puns have been continually recycled in the case of the Calgary Flames.

Someday people will stop putting negative comments after every single Flames article too. It is ridiculous. Every single article, whether win or lose, you see one of these comments:
a) Someone trying to say that the AHL is still a crappy level of hockey. In fact, I don't recall reading anywhere near this many negative comments about the UHL last year.
b) Someone saying that the team is going to fold up and leave town next week unless they draw 8,000 fans to their next home game.
or
c) Both.

Who are these people? Don't they have anything better to do then badmouth their local team? If the Flames start to draw better, then what will they complain about? I guess these are the mysteries of the universe.

So what is going on with Chucko??

This guy was supposed tp be a leader and character type player yet he doesn't seem to be doing much of anything according to his stats. You would think that he would be getting his hands alittle dirty mixing it up in the corners and maybe dropping the mitts every once and awhile to spark the team. Yeah I know Prust and others drop the mitts quite abit but that was part of Chucko's game before he went to college.

If he is playing very well but just isn't getting very many points then great I don't really know.
