I managed to get some pics again today(sorry again about yesterday). It's hard to tell who the players are yet, as they aren't wearing numbers, but there were a few that definately stood out today. I know I mentioned him the other day, but Dan Ryder is flat out great with the puck. Between he and Donati(I think it was Donati), we are going to be hard to touch in the speed department. Kris Chucko was also pretty impressive today. Something that struck me as interesting is that almost everyone has a great one-timer .. the ones I saw down on my end of the ice anyway. There used to be one or two players on a UHL team that had either a huge slapshot and or laser wristshot. Now I would be hard pressed to find a player that didn't have one, or both. Nystrom also looks really solid. After what I'd heard, I was a bit afraid that he'd be playing with a chip on his shoulder. He looked to be giving 110% today ... as did everyone else. I know that I, and the other 50-60 fans that were there, really appreciate that.

I think Calgary assistant coach Wayne Fleming was also in camp today.

How does Keetley look?

In my opinion he's looked better than Lalande. Were I making the decision, just based on the three practices I've seen, I'd go with Keetley without a doubt.

Donati hasn't been signed yet. Do you think he'll get a two-way contract? AHL contract? Because it sounds like you're assuming he'll be on the team.

As for Flemming, I've heard he's now "development coach", so I suspect you'll be seeing a lot of him.

Again ... were it up to me, I would sign him immediately. He can flat out fly. I think that a two way ECHL/AHL deal would be good. If he can't crack the QC roster, he could go down to Vegas until we need him. Keep him in the system at least. I think it would be a mistake to let him go.

QC Flames Coach Ryan McGill talking to players at practice -

"You don't stop skating here(points to blue line), you stop skating after you put your man through the end boards"

Ha. Ha. Ha. Awesome. Thanks for the photos.
