Calgary, AB - Calgary Flames General Manager Darryl Sutter announced today the following thirteen players have been assigned to their respected clubs.
QUAD CITY (AHL):
Derek Couture (RW)
Adam Cracknell (RW)
Justin Donati (C)
Curtis Fraser (C)
Tim Hambly (LD)
Mike Madill (RD)
SWEDEN:
Mikael Backlund (C) Vasteras (SWE)
JUNIORS (CHL):
Keith Aulie (LD) Brandon/WHL
John Armstrong (C) Peterborough/OHL
Hugo Carpentier (C) Rouyn-Noranda/QMJHL
Devin Didiomete (LW) Sudbury/OHL
Juuso Puustinen (RW) Kamloops/WHL
Mickey Renaud (C) Windsor/OHL
The Flames now have 26 players remaining at the prospects training camp: five goalies, seven defenseman and 14 forwards. Calgary Flames main camp opens on Thursday, September 13th with veteran players reporting for medicals and fitness testing.
The Quad City Flames will begin their inaugural season as the American Hockey League affiliate of the Calgary Flames this fall at the i wireless Center.
