There's a poll on www.theahl.com (http://www.theahl.com/) as to which new team, the Lake Erie Monsters, Quad City Flames, or Rockford IceHogs, has the coolest logo. I voted for us, naturally, but we're also dead last in voting. But can someone explain to me how a squealing pig is leading this contest? It's one of the worst logos I've ever seen...

That Monsters logo is pretty cool. I voted Flames out of loyalty though.

The Ice Hogs is Beer League logo for sure, actually it really is. There is a team in my league that used the name & logo already. (They where in the UHL before)

The Monsters logo is sharp, except the name the mosters is pretty television cartoonish.

I voted for the Flames even though it is pretty suspect. If an AHL team named the flames were to render the Flames logo it should have been Omaha. The Flaming O' Rings.... Now there are the Flaming Q's (do the math.)

I hope that is not the finished product? That won't sell the team.

Sorry, i had to vote for Lake Erie. Despite my loyalty to the Flames, I couldnt vote for such a hideous logo. To me, its about the best design, not my favorite AHL team and I will never be a homer. Come on Quad, be original!

I really don't like any of them. The QC Flames is not very original at all and I think the other two look too cartoonish and silly.

Why would you want them to think the logo is good? Maybe if they figure out it sucks, they'll change it.

I would say Quad City is the poorest logo of the bunch by far.
The Monster's is pretty cool followed by the 'Hogs.

The mitigating factor in the logo is the presence of the superb Flaming C. That alone redeems it, for it is the finest logo in all of professional sport.

I'd give even odds that the powers that be reconsider and we see a new crest come next season. Minor league teams often change emblems on whim.
