Jets run out of gas...the Jets went up 4-0 on the Queen early in the 3rd and before the period ended the Queens struck for 4 goals of their own to have the game end in a 4-4 tie.

Sami Kapanen had a good game tonight with a couple of points. Brett McLean scored in his 4th straight game, and Denis Arkhipov continued his strong play and logged alot of ice time tonight because pretty boy Mike Ribeiro was ejected. Pascal LeClaire played ok after signing a new contract today. The Jets are happy to see the Xmas break and hopefully a better New Year.

Happy Holidays from the Jets!

Cool! Never seen that before.

I think I've seen this unknown character pick up a few assists here and there. I believe I've even seen him pick up both assists on a goal. I've even seen a guy score a goal and get an assist on the same goal in the AHL....And we think the CPHL SIM is whacky.

Leafs can't build on Monday's win... losing 6-5 in Washington.

The special teams have come to life in the last 2 games so that's good to see. The first line had another solid game... Torres with 3 points.

But tonight it was the goaltending that let the Leafs down. Turco was bad. On top of that Mike York was a -4 while scoring 2 points in the game. That means he was on the ice for all 6 Capitals goals.

A couple side notes - Mike Fisher left the game in the first period with a chest injury.

Luckily, the Leafs acquired Martin Gelinas from Buffalo earlier today. Gelinas comes to Toronto and Jed Ortmeyer plus a pick go to upstate NY. Gelinas will probably make his Leafs debut on Datsyuk's left wing.

Cullen Comes Through Again

The magical season for Matt Cullen continues

The Minnesota Wild forward, scored the tieing goal at 13:08 of the third period and added the game winner at 17:50 to send his team to a 4-3 win over the Pens.

Head Coach Andy Murray praised the versatile forward.

"Matty's been our most consistent player for weeks now. He's not just producing, but he's scoring huge goals for us".

Meanwhile new Wild Jason Arnott enjoyed a good night, notching 2 assists, while Mike Richards and Joe Sakic had the other Wild markers.

I represent him. 10/yr sounds about right.

THE KIDS ARE ALLRIGHT

With fatigued veterans Vaclav Prospal and Ruslan Fedotenko in the pressbox and on the 4th line respectively, the young players shine through for Buffalo. Newcomer Alex Steen was the first star and had a great game, as did Joffrey Lupul. Wolski's agent will be as pleased as Looooob that Wojtek picked up a point on the Sabres 4th goal. Sabres go into the break with a much needed win, and some major moves planned.

Late collapse sinks Pens
The Penguins appeared to be in control of the wednesdays game against the Wild after Jason Spezza buried his 25th goal of the season half way through the 3rd peroid. That was far from the case as the Wild answered with not only the tieing goal but the winning goal in the last 7mins of the 3rd period to sink the Pens 4-3. The Pens are now off until after the christmas break and with a full healthy team they will look to start moving up the standings in the sickly competitive Gretzky conference.

Damn Air miles catch up to Yotes.

Playing in Buffalo Monday, Phoenix on Tuesday and back to Buffalo on Wednesday took its toll on the Yotes.

Outshot 37-25, not much went well for the Desert Dogs. Rucinsky scored his 20th goal of the season.

Toskala returned Giguere’s wife (he swept her away on Monday). She is quite satisfied and is now talking about separating from the French goaltender.

The Coyotes slide into the Christmas break at least in the final playoff spot. Currently sitting 6th with 43 points. The Hawks and Jackets both play tonight and could jump Phoenix, but 8th is as far as they could slide.

Senators offically SUCK!!! This is the 6th loss in a row. Hardly what we expected when we aquired the likes of Schultz, Hejduk Esche and Kovalev. We are tired of this. The like of Kovelev and Esche could very well find them selves moved. Its not like they have not gotten a chance to play with top players. Who new a line of Kovalev, Hejduk and Joe Thorton would suck :bag:
