Flutie could still excel in the CFL, but he's likely staying put in San Diego.

You would think he would like to be a starter on a CFL team even if it means he only makes around $400 k. He doesn't have many years left.

Doug made 1.5 million (US) last year, although he did start 5 games. He'd still make more as a backup than he would in the CFL.

He also mentions in the story he'd like to keep his family in San Diego. His daughter is about to finish high school.

Good for Doug....at this pace I don't think he'll ever retire on his own.

You know a 50 yr old Doug Flutie would probably be better than what we have now for Starting Qbs.
