Following the time-honored tradition of "money in my hand is better than money in your hand", Jack Torrents International Representation renegotiated the contracts of 3 CPHL superstars today.
Mats Sundin, Sean Burke and Sami Kapanen have all taken pay cuts in the interest of securing longer term deals.
Terms of the deals will not be released, as per our clients wishes and because Jack can't really remember the details. It's been a real whirlwind of activity today. Although I do remember that Mats Sundin took a pretty brutal paycut and will now make 8.4million a season for the forseeable future. Sean Burke I think gets 5.5million for the same time period and Sami Kapanen is at 4.5 million I think for 3 years.
In other words, it kinda looks like Jack ain't much of an agent at all considering all these guys will make less money this year than they would have if someone else was their agent.
Jack says keep them offers coming. He's new at this though, eh, so go easy on the poor sucker. He is fairly unstable and could do something crazy like give away millions of dollars if it suits his fancy. He did it 3 times today, so...
