Please be advised that after a flurry of trading activity in the Devils organization, President and General Manager Axel Axmann is taking a bit of a hiatus from the Meadowlands.
Axmann will be gone from September 11-21, 2004.
At this time, Axmann is unsure if he will have access to the Internet, so please be advised that he will not be able to entertain any further offers until he returns.
This self imposed hiatus is long over due *cough cough bullcrap* and he will return with a grand plan for the new New Jersey Devils.
Seen leaving the Meadowlands, Axmann was asked where he was off to and the reply that we the press received was Axmann whistling a Beach Boys tune which we made out to be Kokomo. Asked if he had any concerns about the Ivan, Axmann replied that contract negotiations were continuing and he preferred not to comment on the current status.
