Literally.

Just a note to those of you I have been in trade talks up until a few days ago, I lost power and water services on Tuesday night thanks to the wrath of tropical storm Frances.

Compared to the devastation in Florida, and indeed this area as well, i am not complaining. However, reports are varying as to when electricity and water services will be restored at my home. This in turn means i dont know when i can answer any emails as this is an activity i limit to my free time and not from work. (which has power but also has no water).

Just a sample of what it looks like all around this area today, here is an image i found from the local newspaper...

This are is normally a bustling 4 lane road with a myriad of antique shops, restaurants etc.

Yesterday I watched in awe as mobile homes were floating down a river that was some 30' over its banks. Brutal stuff.
At any rate, we hope to be back to semi-normal at some point tomorrow or Saturday and I will get to you good folks at that time.

Take care man!

Life is tough when you have no control over it!

The New York Islanders are making a donation to the Frances relief fund.

In addition Keith Carney will personally help out in order to earn his salary!

Sure, you come calling for Brodeur and I return your call, but you CLAIM the weather is holding you up? Weak, very weak.
So when you get your technology back, I'll be looking for a prompt response.

Thanks for the thoughts guys...well except Cheese.

Power was restored last night around 7...water is on as of this morning although we have been warned not to use it for 24 hours without boiling it first.

I think i will just use the bottled stuff.

At any rate...many many folks down here lost everything they had. Re4ally quite sad, yet nothing compared to Florida.

Seriously, if you can afford it, I suggest you donate to that relief fund. Just a mess down there in many spots and yet another one heading their way.
