The St. Louis Blues hockey club announced today that the report published in the Calgary Herald today, regarding Peter Forsberg leaving the NHL are simply not true. The management has met with Peter on several occasions, and Peter has given them a pinky swear that he will be back - but will play with the media a little bit. Any team interested in acquiring Forsberg, possibly the best player in the league, are free to contact Blues GM, but the price will be hefty.

Meanwhile in other notes:

- the blues are believed to be shopping for a strong defensive defenceman for their number one unit.

- it has also been noted that Lidstroms strong play of late (4G 6A in last 5 games) has taken him off the trade block.

- Patrick Stefan has made everyones wish list lately, with as many as 17 teams inquiring about his services. The former first round draft pick appears ready for a breakout season. Some might have viewed his first few seasons a dissapointment, but only those who have not watched him play. His whole game is complete - backchecks, strong positining, taking the body, blocking shots, refilling water bottles as well as taking Forsbergs car for a wash twice a week in exchange for some knowledge of how to score. The next step is racking points up, and all signs point to this season being it. Stay tuned.
