Yeah.. I've got this electrical engineering degree but I'm going to be an usher for the rest of my life.. Right.. Besides I haven't been an usher since November

Have you just applied or have you followed up in person? I know when you're fresh out of school, you have to go out of your way to distance yourself from the other applicants. I know when I graduated I visited a lot of offices, even those who didn't have adds out. For the most part people are receptive and will at least talk to you. Sure some will tell you to Fata off, but those are companies you probably didn't want to work for in the first place.

When I graduated in '97 electrical engineers were all snapped up months before graduation with 98% going to Nortel, while the oilpatch jobs were pretty scant.
Have things reversed?
Also, have electrical engineers figured out anti-perspirant yet? :lol:
