There's a thread about the fall TV season, why not the summer?

Breaking Bad is starting up July 15th, running Sunday's for 8 weeks (with the final 7 episodes airing summer 2013 )

The 3rd season of Louis is scheduled to start June 28, running on Thursdays.

Are there any other TV shows I'm missing? I'm sure there has to be more shows running a summer schedule.

Big Brother stars on July 12. I really hate watching that show, but what else is there? I am not going to start reading a book or anything, that would be sacrilege!

They just announced that this (the 8th) will be the final season of weeds. Great show for those who have never watched it.

But there are dangerous mosquitoes out there and I hate wearing the lotion. Don't you see the bind I am in?

Not so much. The first three seasons were amazing. But after that, it's been meh. I hate how Nancy just screws her way out of all her problems later on.

Not to mention that BS they pulled with Silas not being a 'real' Botwin

I am stoked for Hell on Wheels though.

Watched the season premier of Suits last night and it didn't disappoint.

This show is so well cast. Patrick J Adams is great (and Canadian), Gabriel Macht, Gina Torres and the always awesome Rick Hoffman. It's probably my favorite of the 2nd tier of cable series...right up there with Burn Notice.

Anyone hold the opinion that Hell on Wheels got noticeably better after the first 3 or 4 episodes?

I quit watching after that as it really didn't grab me, but would give it a second go with season 2 coming up if there was hope that it improved.

If you haven't watched Longmire yet on A&E, I would recommend it. Two episodes so far and while the pace is slow, it is interesting and the characters are great. Sunday nights on A&E.

I watched the first two episodes and will keep watching, but I am hoping it picks up. I have not read any of the Longmire books so I don't really know what to expect. They have set up some intersting conflicts with some of their plot points though.

Yeah, since they left Agrestic the show has steadily gone downhill. On the other hand, that's when Mary Louise Parker started doing nudity, so that was a trade-off.

Since I became a mega western lover a few years ago (Thanks to Deadwood) I enjoyed it quite a bit from episode 1. A buddy of mine is in it and he got all shot up. I look forward to seeing it! he he he

Alphas is coming up in July as well; Monday, July 23, 2012.

It's a fun show with advanced human heroes and villains, but not crazy powerful ones like in X-Men. However it is built like it in a way as there certainly are similarities between the two.

Check it out!

I gave up after Ep 10 or so. I found it to be a chore to watch this show.

Few channels on satellite are replaying Friday Night Lights. A nice reminder of just what an incredible show that was.

I actually really enjoyed this show. It has been so long since season 1 ended though that I kind of forgot about it.

The autistic kid does crack me up though.

Four episodes into the third season of Louie, and it's been great.

Episode 4 that airs today, about dating, was awesome.

Anyone still watching the 2nd season of Suits? It's been fantastic. Probably my second favorite show that is currently playing new episodes. This season has surpassed the initial season by quite a large margin.

Love it.

The U.S. version of MasterChef is just so far inferior to the Australian version in every way, shape, and form that it is just laughable.

USA Network has been trying hard to produce good stuff. It started with Bruce Campbell in Burn Notice (getting his cult followers was a huge win) and then the Royal Pains series. It's not as strong as Burn Notice was but it still brought the interest and dollars. This gave USA Network the ability to add Suits and another name Gina Torres (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0868659/). Gina has her own fans from Firefly and other Joss Whedon shows. Suits is a well built story that has been staying away from the heavy relationship BS that it had last season. That is why it's stronger imo. They are actually telling a story based around the high priced lawyers.

There is another show on USA called Necessary Roughness - it dances around football but it's all about a female psychiatrist and her relationship BS. They took a football concept and wrapped a heavy female "issue" around it. It's terrible and IMDB's 6.7 rating is generous. I dropped it from my viewing selection. IT'S FOOTBALL USA NETWORK! STOP FRACKING AROUND!

Happy to see Grimm again. It came into it's own last season and is a fun watch. Don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy it.

I'll have to check out Suits, sounds promising.

I admit, Girls is kind of a chick show. I saw it had a bunch of Emmy nominations for Comedy and I was looking for new comedies to watch, so I watched season one with the girlfriend. I'm not afraid to admit I liked it a lot!

A bunch of my friends really like Suits...it's ok IMO but nothing amazing. I find the very fast dialogue to be grating.
