On the score ticker yesturday it was reporting that the Argos added Andre Rison to their neg. list and today it is saying that they have signed the vet. WR. Could be a good move if he can still play and if his personal problems are behind him.

They're not. I listen to Jim Rome daily and the guy is mentioned like every month. IIRC, this month there was a warrent out for his arrest for over $100 000 of child support payments to two seperate mothers ($100 000 each).

In similar news, Lawerence Phillips apparently pawned his PAC-10 Championship ring for $20 to a pawnshop in Vegas because he had to "get out of town". The pawnshop owner then sold the ring on E-bay for $1700.

Sad to see how far some of these guys have fallen. Especially LP since he was our starting running back less than one year ago.

But hey, if he sells tickets...

Lawrence Phillips was never in the PAC-10...so that story may be a fabrication.

Rison was never a great receiver to start with.

No the story is true....but he was in the Big 12 (or big 10 at the time?) and got 20 bucks for it from a pawn shop in Vegas. Dude turned around and sold it for 1700 on ebay.

And i doubt Rison sells a single ticket in Toronto...seriously. Who wants to go watch a guy who hasnt played in 4 years?

I'm not much of a college football watcher so I probably messed up the conference.

Dis should be banned from the board for displaying a Denver Bronco's logo.
Maybe one of Rison's ex wives will do the city of T.O. a favor and burn down the Skydome!! Funny how in 15 years it went from being all the rage, to the last of a bad fad.

The ex-wife that burned his house down died in a car accident, nice dig. Rison is washed up and won't be a factor. They don't call him Andre " Bad Mood " Rison for nothing.

The hostility! Sylvanfan? :(

I say you and I pool our AFC West hatred together and focus on ensuring the Oakland Raiders don't come anywhere near the playoffs again! Much more fun than me hating the Chiefs (sorta tough for me anyway) and you hating the Broncos (come on, who can hate the Broncos? :P )

Plummer looks like crap in preseason man. I'm a bit worried about the passing game. Defense looks unbelievable though.

Haven't got a chance to catch the Chefs yet, but they should be better if they can stay healthy. Robinson for Gunther was the best move they made this offseason!

I kind of clued into that after I posted that yesterday. IIRC it was Left Eye Lopez that torched Rison's house, and then she passed away some time last year. So if that's the case I guess he owes child support to one wife and one guardian. Still isn't the guy like 40 now?

I'm sorry Dis, I had to take a shot at the Bronc's! I agree I've always hated Warren Sapp, so now I'm forced to spit at anyone in Raiders apparel (good thing I can run pretty fast). I was giddy to see Gannon loose his mind last year ala Superbowl and than miss most of the season injured. I don't put any stock in pre-season as it's about nothing more than not getting your starters injured. I like the idea of bringing back Cunningham to run the defence, but the o-line had a couple changes, Holmes is a year older, and they didn't really add any personell to the defence. It should be a closer division as the Chargers and Raiders won't be as bad as they were last year and K.C.s' schedule won't allow them to go 13-3. The winner of the division will likely end up 10-6 and no one should be worse than 7-9. At least that's my guess.
