Don't quite know if this qualifies for this thread.
Song is called 'Whistle Concert', it's the theme to Proto Man (aka Break Man) from Mega Man 3 (NES) at the end of the game.

I know it's already been posted, but that Atlas Genious song "Trojans" is sure sticking in my head a lot recently. It's a great tune.
If you like music like that, you should check out a Montreal band called "Half Moon Run". I saw them at Ottawa Bluesfest on one of the small stages this year and bought their demo. They don't have a lot on Youtube and no official videos, but I think they have a website (but I can't check while at work). They are really young and have a lot of room to grow, but I wouldn't be surprised if in a few years they become a staple on Alt Nation.

Yep. I posted Brutal Hearts with Jay Malinowski and Coeur de Pirate which sounds great but her best music is in French imo.
Could belong in the Upcomming CD release thread but it isn't exactly a new release. Bon Iver is re-releasing "Bon Iver" with visual accompaniments for each of the 10 songs on the album. The first of which was emerged via Time Magazine : Hinnom, TX
http://www.chartattack.com/news/2011/nov/28/watch-short-film-for-bon-ivers-hinnom-tx-from-deluxe-edition-self-titled-record
The lyrics make you want to try to figure out what the songs are about but you don't always get very far. Maybe this will shed some light? Great album.

Trout, you did not just post a Trent Reznor song as your fave song at the moment did you?
Sure it has Karen O in it and is written by Zeppelin but really?
Everytime I post about Reznor or NIN you're usually the first to say they're crap. Although maybe that's just because you like trolling me. ;)

I was just watching Sons of Anarchy, and you could probably make a separate thread about awesome music from that series, but this one from episode one of season three is really good. The whole scene (the drive-by at Half-Sack's wake and Jax going ape-####) with this song was great.

120 REASONS TO LIVE
http://www.magnetmagazine.com/category/120-reasons-to-live/
Nothing did more to further the cause of Alternative Nation-building than 120 Minutes (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/120_Minutes), MTV’s Sunday-night video showcase of non-mainstream acts. For nearly two decades, the program spanned musical eras from ’80s college rock to ’00s indie, with grunge, Britpop, punk, industrial, electronica and more in between. MAGNET raids the vaults (http://tylerc.com/120minutes/) to resurrect our 120 favorite and unjustly forgotten videos from the show’s classic era.

Love Big Wreck. Although, I thought I heard they didn't actually get back together. I heard that the guitarist from Big Wreck filled in at a Thornley show, and him and Ian Thornley kind of became friends again after a falling out.
Then they started writing their next album with that guitarist from Big Wreck, and were basically making a Thornley album until so many people bugged Ian to call it a Big Wreck album, that he evenually did just that.
I could be wrong, but as far as I know it's a combination of Big Wreck and Thornley.

Either way, it's a win / win, in my opinion. The music from both is great! There is a write-up on the website about the "history." Maybe that will help clear up any miscommunication.

I was so excited to hear the new Big Wreck album and it hasn't disappointed.
My favorite track (and favorite song right now):

This thread totally reminded me of this website a friend of mine showed me for showing off your favourite songs, it's called Thisismyjam.com (http://thisismyjam.com). Basically lets you and your friends post your current favourite and makes it into a playlist that you can stream off the site. Once you get a couple dozen friends with good taste in music its really great.

The Jezabels. Some silky soft female vocals going on. Awesome, lazy hook that pulls you right in. Can't wait to see them at the end of April.
